Why I chose doTERRA as a Business.

My life in numbers:

45 years old

25 years as an Actor

17 years as a Wife

16 years as a Mum

20 years as a Spiritual Practitioner

2 years as a Yoga & Meditation Teacher.

Since my University and Postgrad days, through years of employment in the most prestigious theatres in the UK, film and television industry and my entire married life, my financial health has been precarious. I have had no pension, no job security, no sick pay and no plan for the next 6 months, let alone my longer term future. I have spent my adult life lurching from financial feast to famine.

Within 18 months in dōTERRA, my income is now steady and more excitingly, growing. I can now pay the family mortgage & bills. I am creating space to support the life, people, activities and causes that truly I care about.

dōTERRA, was founded in 2008 by experts in the Essential Oils business. There are no outside investors with dōTERRA – the owners personally funded the start-up and own 100% of the company. They changed their lifestyles, took second mortgages, and worked without pay to make their own choices early on. dōTERRA is now the largest oil company in the world, debt-free.

dōTERRA is family-focused and pro-women. One of the owners is a woman; Mothers and babies and families are welcomed, encouraged and supported through dōTERRA, from classes to conferences.

dōTERRA gives back. Healing Hands is dōTERRA’s non-profit association committed to improving lives through partnering with organisations that offer hope to millions around the world. Healing Hands seeks to bring healing and hope to the world, for lives free of disease and poverty, and to ultimately empower impoverished communities with the tools needed to become self-reliant. In dōTERRA we all have the option to donate each month on our orders and the company also raises thousands with outside events. It was announced that dōTERRA donated nearly $3 million in 2016. During that year, the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation completed 30 projects that are improving the lives of millions in countries throughout the world. Fifteen more projects are in progress. One such project is Operation Underground Railroad, also known as OUR, is a non-profit organisation with whom dōTERRA has partnered to extricate as many children as possible out of sex trafficking. Our donations have also helped fund the construction of a facility in Thailand, with state-of-the-art technology to intercept trafficking before it happens. In 2016, dōTERRA Wellness Advocates and Wholesale Customers donated over $500K to Operation Underground Railroad through donations to the Healing Hands Foundation.

We’re also supporting the victims’ aftercare. Some receive care through Days for Girls, another organisation with whom doTERRA is partnered, educating girls and women on women’s health and sustainable feminine hygiene. Having helped over 640K girls and women to date, Days for Girls affords them the dignity and supplies to function in society during their cycle so they aren’t missing chances to learn and grow out of poverty. Without sustainable solutions to manage their monthly cycle, women are rejected from society for the duration every single month. 1 in 10 girls in Sub-Saharan Africa, 113 million adolescent girls in India, and 30% of girls from rural areas of Brazil will miss school this year without the help of Days for Girls.

dōTERRA’s Oils sources its oils from over 40 countries —more than half of which could be considered developing countries. To ensure that small scale farmers and harvesters in disadvantaged areas are treated ethically, dōTERRA has introduced an initiative called Co-Impact Sourcing.

Co-Impact Sourcing is an initiative that seeks to develop long-term, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships while creating sustainable jobs and providing reliable income in underdeveloped areas. dōTERRA is committed to the ethical treatment of its suppliers by providing on-time payments at fair prices. Growers and harvesters are encouraged to form cooperative groups to share collective benefits and bargaining power while improving skills and capacity.

dōTERRA’s testing system is rigorous and transparent. They have created an internal standard Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) which is also third party tested. It begins with nurturing the plant in the best environment and careful harvesting. The testing process then continues with sight, smell, touch and taste of the Oil. They then test to rule out any fungus, bacteria, viruses and mould and any other contamination. To see more look here . Each location has its own specific laws and rules governing agriculture and collecting wild-crafted botanicals. If an Oil fails the test, specifically pesticides, there is no secondary process for removing the pesticides or foreign matter. The Oils failing the test would simply be rejected. Other than the careful distillation of the Oils from the plant material, no other processing takes place. They are aromatic extracts, nothing added, and nothing removed; they either meet that standard or they don’t.

dōTERRA is helping us detoxify our households. No need for harsh, toxic chemicals to clean your home. No risk of spreading toxins throughout your air (or your cells). Our home smells and feels incredible with of dōTERRA’s On Guard Home Cleaner Concentrate, Detergent, Hand Soap, Toothpaste. With Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary CPTG® Essential Oils, the Cleaner concentrate provides natural protection – this powerful blend is combined with plant-based derivatives for a non-toxic and biodegradable way to clean and eliminate odours, safe for loved ones as well as the environment. We use it all over the house.

The dōTERRA Community I have the honour to work with is supportive, brave, compassionate. I’m on calls with my team on a daily and weekly basis and have made connections with the brightest people looking to make a positive difference in their own lives and the lives of others. I’ve developed my business skills, grown my confidence, gained friends and made contacts both in and out of the dōTERRA business that would never have been made had I not chosen to align with this company.

80% of women earning a six figure income do so with a Home Based Business. Network Marketing is changing the way people work. Forbes explains succinctly here. https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertlaura/2014/08/29/would-you-join-a-multi-level-marketing-company-for-retirement-income/#728bf8705cda

MLM differs from a Pyramid scheme (which is illegal) in that it sells a product people love and want. Pyramid Schemes usually sell an “idea” and they appear and disappear very quickly. DōTERRA was named by Forbes as one of the best midsize employers in the U.S. https://www.forbes.com/companies/doterra/ If the product is great MLM is really a beautiful opportunity for women to have flexible income that works around all the other demands we have on our time. https://www.doterra.com/US/en/media-press-releases-doterra-makes-forbes-best-employers-list

I am here to take full responsibility of my emotional, physical and financial health.

I’m here to help other men and women do the same.

My journey in DōTERRA is providing a path of recovery for myself.

And in recovering myself I am leading others to do the same, on their own unique journey.
